![]() ![]() Even without camouflage, you can get her concealment down to 12. And good Main Battery performance applies at any range. The trick with the Iowas is to use their speed and concealment to get into position and use those very accurate and hard-hitting guns to pummel your opposition. ![]() I think Iowa offers more fun gameplay with her speed, but yammy it’s fun with overmatch mechanic compared to Iowa (a game mechanic you need to learn) But play both lines as the IJN BB. Because the priority is the performance of the Main Battery. Well Iowa will be quicker as it’s a T9 not a T10 like Yammy. If you have AFT+BFT, AFT+BFT+Manual AA, AFT+BFT+CE combo, they all fit perfectly. Stuffing a higher pt captain will still work out with the AA+Main Battery Build. Every shell counts.īy basing the build more towards Main Battery, you don't need some big, fancy 15pt+ Captain to make Iowa work with her Main Battery firing tighter groups. With APRM2, it cuts down the 16"/50 dispersion by a good degree which is important considering you typically are firing only 6 shells, 9 at the very most compared to 6-12 guns of GK & Montana. The AA will reach out a tad bit further for air defense. AA or Secondary Battery Builds require too much high end traits to make it worthwhile, so I elected for a hybrid AA+Main Battery Build. When I did a few again recently, it was with a brand new 3pt Captain since I moved the original into Montana. Originally, I ran Iowa with full on AA Build, then haven't played her in ages. Iowa C hull not only boosts your already excellent AA but it drastically improves your rudder shift which is one of the Achilles Heals of the ship (the other is turn radius). ![]()
